How to Manifest With TikTok's 'Lucky Girl Syndrome' Trend

They say she’s so lucky, and it could be the result of “Lucky Girl Syndrome,” a new manifestation method making the rounds on TikTok. Here’s everything you need to know about this trending technique — including tips from a master manifestor about how to implement it in your own life.

Coined by TikToker Laura Galebe back in December, Lucky Girl Syndrome is more of a ~state of mind~ than anything else. People who use this manifestation tool swear it can help you actualize your aspirations when paired with repetition, genuine belief, and concrete actions.

The secret is to assume and believe it before the concrete proof shows up. BE DELUSIONAL. #bedelusional #luckygirlsyndrome #affirmations #lawofassumption #manifestationtiktok #manifestingtok #lawofassumptiontok #manifestation

But how does Lucky Girl Syndrome work? According to Galebe, you have to genuinely convince yourself that you are lucky, and that everything that occurs in your life will end positively. In her own words, “The secret is to assume and believe it before the concrete proof shows up. BE DELUSIONAL.”

“I genuinely consider myself one of the luckiest people I know,” Galebe explained in her initial TikTok introducing the concept. “Like, I get the most insane opportunities thrown out at me out of nowhere.” And she credits most of this to her Lucky Girl mindset.

For example, Galebe regularly uses affirmations like, I’m so lucky, The Universe always has my back, or Everything always works out for me, which subconsciously reinforce her innate luckiness before anything lucky has actually happened. She says these phrases aloud while talking to friends or going about her daily life.

“I’m constantly saying, Great things are always happening to me unexpectedly,” she continued. “I say this on a regular basis… and I believe it when I say it, so I think that plays a huge role.”

She isn’t the only TikToker who swears by this method, either. A college student named Sammy, a.k.a. @skzzolno, uploaded a viral video with her friend last week detailing how Lucky Girl Syndrome has changed their lives. Like Galebe, Sammy employs daily affirmations to manufacture her own luck. She and her friend believe these mantras helped them get the bedrooms they wanted in their apartment without fighting with their roommates.

According to pro manifestation and success coach Kathleen Cameron, Lucky Girl Syndrome produces results because it taps into the power of our subconscious beliefs. Cameron likens it to the Law of Assumption, a principle that underlies many popular manifestation methods. The Law of Assumption states that if you believe and act like you already have what you want, you’ll get it.

“[Galebe] is harnessing a positive and intentional outcome,” Cameron tells SheKnows. “Because she truly believes that she is lucky, she creates the fact.”

If you’re curious about experimenting with Lucky Girl Syndrome, Cameron recommends utilizing some of the affirmations Galebe suggested or developing a mantra of your own.

But in order to really notice results, take some time to get in touch with your innermost goals and desires. You can also try visualizing your dream, she says: “The best way to incorporate ritual is to ask yourself, ‘How do I want to experience this life?’ Hold the image of your intention until that becomes your reality. Believing that everything is working out for you will literally create that experience in your life.”

“This is a fun trend,” Cameron adds, “and it’s great to see affirmations and mantras going more mainstream.”
