The Coronavirus pandemic, keeps the world in breath: more than five million people are already infected with the pathogen of Sars-CoV-2 – 182.644 of them so far in Germany.

"Dark Materie": British researchers brings new Theory to the Corona history in Germany in the game

Why is Germany better by the Corona-crisis as other countries? In an Interview with the “Guardian” has tried British researcher Karl Friston to an arrangement. There are “several potential explanations” for the relatively harmless virus consequences in Germany. One is that there is in Germany more immunological “Dark matter”. Specifically, the neuro-scientist from University College in London so that “people who are impervious to the Virus says, because you may be isolated locally, or any kind of natural resilience have”. The Knowledge of a “Dark matter” could help, a second wave – for instance, by people on Covid-19 to test the high risk of contagion, rather than the population as a whole.

Melanie Brinkmann, Helmholtz-centre for infection research, compared to the “mirror” skeptical to the Theory of the British researcher. Especially intensive Testing and early Action would have led to a relatively lenient course of the crisis in Germany, she says. “We have traded a lot earlier than the British, and we have tested a lot more, and not only those that came to the clinic.” Further, the “mirror” quoted the scientist: “Dark matter” could be anything. “Actually, it means nothing else than that there are things that we can’t know yet, and explain. This is meant to be.“

Whether in Germany, in fact, more people live in isolation than in the UK, is not used. The population density in both countries is comparable.
