All the feels! Duchess Meghan (née Markle) has been overwhelmed with emotions since giving birth to her son with Prince Harry, a source reveals exclusively in the new issue of Us Weekly.
“She went into labor just after midnight,” the source tells Us. Since the birth, the 37-year-old has been “thrilled and, of course, very emotional,” a second source reveals.
The palace confirmed on Monday, May 6, that Meghan went into labor. Hours later, news broke that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had officially welcomed a baby boy.
“Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz. The duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives,” the statement shared on Instagram read. “More details will be shared in the forthcoming days.”
A third source tells Us that Prince William and Duchess Kate — who share Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 12 months — “are very excited and can’t wait to meet the little one.”
Harry, for his part, gushed about his new role as a father to the press on Monday.
“This is definitely my first birth. It was amazing, absolutely incredible,” the 34-year-old prince said. “I am so incredibly proud of my wife and as every father and parent would ever say, your baby is absolutely amazing, but this little thing is absolutely to die for, so I’m just over the moon.”
