Stomach bloating is an uncomfortable disorder leaving a person to undo a notch on the belt, have additional trips to the loo and wanting to be in a more reclined position until the sensation is gone. It is a feeling of fullness and tightness in the tummy and can sometimes leave a person looking pregnant. If you eat this snack it could help relieve those symptoms and ease the pain caused by bloating.

There are two types of bloating conditions, functional and organic.
A functional condition is one that impairs in some way the normal function of the gut.
Examples include an irritable bowel syndrome or abdominal migraines. An organic condition, on the other hand, could relate to dietary fibres in the body, lactose intolerance, coeliac disease, constipation, bowel obstruction, delayed gut emptying or simply overeating.
To ease these symptoms it has been recommended to snack on a yogurt as the probiotic content cleans out the gut and banishes gas.

Yogurt contains active cultures which increases the levels of lactobacillus and bifidobacterium, known as ‘good bacteria’.
Snacking on yogurt will help keep things moving in the digestive tract, and prevent the belly from bloating.
Plain yogurt is the best choice and adding some fruit and nuts will keep you feeling fuller for longer without compromising the bloat.
Other foods that could help with the feeling of bloat include celery, watermelon, rosemary, bananas, papaya and cucumber. Water with lemon and added cucumber is another way to help ease the feelings of being bloated.
The reason’s why a person bloats could be a range of things.
Professor David Sanders, a consultant gastroenterologist at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield said: “On the outside, it seems like a single condition, but there are many different diseases that could cause the bloat that aren’t totally obvious at first glance.
“Patients can have more than one condition at the same time. That’s why it’s often hard to work out what is going on.
But when we do, and are able to give effective treatment, it can transform a person’s life.”
