We don't know what's in the water these days, but it feels like every other day, a celebrity is launching a new beauty brand. Jennifer Lopez launched her skin-care line on the first of the year, and Halsey followed not shortly after with her new cosmetics line. The latest one to join in on the fun could very well be none other than model Hailey Bieber. She hasn't made any official statements just yet, but she's taken some significant first steps by filing a trademark for a brand called Rhode.
The news comes almost two years after it was first revealed Bieber was getting into the beauty business. In April 2019, she filed to trademark "Bieber Beauty." Unfortunately, her dreams were short-lived when her trademark was rejected because it had too many similarities to one that her husband, Justin Bieber, filed back in 2010. But it looks like she found the solution by naming the hypothetical brand after her middle name, Rhode, instead.
We don't have too much info on the theoretical beauty brand yet, since neither Bieber has confirmed the news, but the trademark was filed for a range of beauty products across the makeup, hair, skin, and fragrance categories. She has experience as a beauty brand ambassador — she's been the face of BareMinerals since 2018 — but who knows what exactly Bieber will give us? Maybe a gorgeous range of foundations with 40 shades or sweet-scented fragrance that makes us swoon with the scent? Regardless, we eagerly await to see what Rhode will have in store (literally).
