PARIS — Dessange International has a new chairman, Emmanuel Gasnot, who succeeds Benjamin Dessange in the role.
Dessange, son of the company’s founder Jacques Dessange, has left the function at D. Participations, Dessange International’s parent company. The group said in a statement his departure results from a mutual agreement, and that Dessange remains a minority shareholder in D. Participations. He will also continue to help drive Dessange International’s artistic direction.
Eurazeo holds a 65 percent stake of Dessange International, according to the French private equity firm’s web site. Its investment in the concern was made in 2008.
Gasnot has served as chief executive officer of Dessange International and member of its board since 2012. Prior to that, he worked at companies such as Eugène Perma, Laboratoires Cosm & Ouest and Wella.
Dessange International in 2017 registered sales of 99 million euros. Its business includes 1,700 franchised salons in 43 countries — of which 370 are in France — under the brands Dessange, Camille Albane and Fantastic Sams; the management of the Phytodess product label; product licenses, and a distribution activity through Coiff’Idis.
