Demi Lovato is one of many celebrities who loves to wear long nails, especially when they're decked out with created nail art. Her lengthier manicures have included designs like clear glass extensions, abstract shapes, and more. That said, the superstar singer sometimes likes switch to a shorter style and take a break from long nails — but not from nail art.
On Sunday, February 15, Lovato shared a Boomerang closeup of her latest manicure to her Instagram Stories. It features a gorgeous white iridescent base on every nail, none of which extend past the tops of her fingertips. On the ring finger's nail is a pretty pastel butterfly.
On top of the clip, she wrote, "@thejonathandre killed the butterfly shorties ?," tagging Los Angeles nail artist Jonathan Dre. She topped off the video with a butterfly filter, of course.
This is far not Lovato's first butterfly-themed manicure, though it may be the shortest. Last August, she shared a photo of a long French manicure with butterflies painted sporadically over the white tips and nude base — a tribute to the song she was writing at the time.
While it may seem the most elaborate nail art ends up on super-long nails, Lovato's latest manicure is proof that you don't need a ton of space to create eye-catching and awesome looks that are more than just solid colors.
